Clark yawned when he woke up that morning, closing his eyes again when he saw it was only 8am. Feeling soft kisses against his neck, he smiled.
Turning, he captured the lips of his boyfriend.
"Aren't you glad you decided to take off work?" Oliver asked when he pulled away.
"Decided?" Clark repeated, "If I remember correctly, you called Perry and told him that I was taking off work. I didn't decide anything."
"Same difference," Ollie shrugged. "You get to spend time with me."
"Then let's put that time to good use," Clark murmured and met his lips once more.

Ollie laid there, a contented smirk on his face as his new lover spurted out apologies. They had had sex for the first time ... Clark's heat vision triggered, burning the headboard. They later ended up breaking the bed.
But it was worth it.
Tired of the rambling, Ollie leaned over and kissed him. Pulling away, he grinned.
"Clark, I can buy a new bed. But right now, I have other bedrooms and I want to do that again."
Clark smiled.

She resigned herself to being alone and bored.
What she didn't expect was Clark to come barging in the door, carrying her favorite soup and his mother's pie.
"I'm here to take care of you," he announced. Outwardly, she rolled her eyes and complained.
Inwardly, she was grateful he was there. Not that she'd ever tell him that.

"I missed you," he murmured. She didn't reply but they both knew that she felt the same.
"Bedroom?" she asked. No point in wasting time ... it'd been a while and he had been good.
He grinned and led her there.
Seeing the bed covered by green and red petals, she eyed him, eyebrow raised. Ollie just grinned.
Maybe this time they could work it out.
