She survives the first exodus, when Earth was abandoned. The exodus from the twelve colonies she survives as well; Chloe has nine lives, or didn’t you hear?
Now the goal is to return home, to Earth. It almost makes her laugh, this desire of these exiled humans, wanting to return to the land their ancestors had abandoned. Almost because, really, what else is there to do? They need a home.
A spaceship isn’t a real home. Chloe hums a few lines of I don’t want to live on the moon; she earns a few stares, doesn’t care.
The journey continues.
