Summary: Little Lois is woken up in the middle of the night.

"Lois?"

The soft whisper woke up 8 year old Lois, who rubbed her eyes sleepily.

"What?" she grumbled. Once her eyes got adjusted to the darkness, she was met with the green eyes of her cousin, Chloe, who was staying with them.

"I had a nightmare," Chloe admitted shyly.

"Now you can't sleep?" Lois asked. Chloe nodded, eyes wide.

"You can stay with me," Lois offered and scooted. Chloe beamed and climbed into the bed. Within minutes, she was asleep.

"I'll protect you," Lois promised softly, careful not to wake her.

And that was a promise she intended to keep.
