Beds are an interesting concept to Kara. The beds on Earth aren’t like the ones on Krypton, and there is a lot more choice and effort that goes into choosing a bed as well.
Sitting on a bed with too soft mattress made Kara wrinkle her nose.
Oliver folded his arms and tilted his head, “No?”
“It’s too soft,” Kara sighed.
“Okay Goldilocks, how about we just have another made?”
Kara shook her head, “Because human couples spend time doing this stuff.”
“Kara, we’ve been over this, you don’t need to try to be more human. Just be you.” Ollie smiled.

The new bed arrived spick and span on Monday morning. Kara was rather excited to see it in place of the old one now splintered and broken in the corner of the vast room.
Arms went around her waist as she supervised the workmen as they built the bed in front of her. “Hey,” a warm voice whispered in her ear.
“They’re almost finished,” Kara announced.
Oliver wasn’t unaware of the looks that the men were giving Kara, “Okay, but this time, when you get excited, say something. Don’t grab the headboard.” Ollie said loudly, trying not to be smug.

“No, why would it look different?” Clark asked bemused. His eyes trailed Lois’ soft form and met her eyes.
“And the room, is it, uh, brighter?”
“No, Lois, everything is just the same as it was yesterday,” Clark smiled as he pressed a kiss to Lois’ shoulder.
“Oh, now I see what’s different about the bed. It’s got you in it!” Lois said sarcastically.
“Now and forever,” Clark teased as Lois groaned and let her head fall back onto the pillow.
“Whatever, Smallville.”
