Title: Sleepy New Year

She hadn't meant to fall asleep. She was supposed to do research, then leave. Ring in the new year alone in her apartment. But instead she was here, at his penthouse, blinking sleepily as a hand gently shook her shoulder. Her vision was blurry with sleep for a moment, and then she felt herself suddenly lifted in strong arms, Chloe's eyes popping open as she realized that Oliver had picked her up.

"Ollie-"

"Go back to sleep, Watchtower," he told her, then pressed a kiss to her temple. "And happy new year."

She closed her eyes. "Happy new year, Archer."

The sky lit up as the world seemed to go up in flames, and she flinched back a little at the brightness of it all, at the loud boom that ripped through the air. She felt his arm around her shoulders, holding her close, and she blinked once, twice, before she turned her head to look at him.

"Well, you did promise me fireworks," Chloe said as she watched Lex's facility burn. The Green Arrow smirked at her side.

"It is the new year. I thought we should do something special," Oliver replied.

Chloe was laughing as he kissed her.

That's cute! I liked them both. I was really happy that Chloe didn't have to spend New Year's alone, even if it was on accident. And the second made me giggle. :D
