My F-list is so completely hectic I totally missed you guys! I come offering drabbles as peace offerings.

Title: Lucky
Author: Rae
Rating: G
Challenge: New Years
Team: Human
Characters/Pairings: Oliver with ensemble appearance.
Warnings/Spoilers: Set around season 7ish time, late into the season though.
Disclaimer: This is a piece of fiction, it was not written for profit and has not and will not claim rights to the characters involved.
Summary: Oliver celebrates the new year.
Word Count: 100

Tilting his glass of champagne so the cool liquid slid down Oliver’s throat as he toasted the new year alone on his jet. No one said being a hero wasn’t lonely. But Oliver was surprised as his plane’s phone began to ring, placing the phone on speaker he was greeted by the loud whooping of his friends in Smallville.

“Happy New Year Ollie!” Lois shouted above the rest, Chloe and Jimmy chimed in perfectly so their voices blended into one and Clark’s friendly voice closed the happy cheer.

“Happy New Year guys,” Oliver laughed.

Oliver wasn’t lonely, he was lucky.

Title: Counting down (Part I)
Author: Rae
Rating: PG
Challenge: New Years
Team: Human
Characters/Pairings: Lois with implied Clark/Lois
Warnings/Spoilers: Set in Season 8 pre-Bride drama in AU-ville.
Disclaimer: This is a piece of fiction, it was not written for profit and has not and will not claim rights to the characters involved.
Summary: Lois fazes out at the office party.
Word Count: 100

This is why Lois hated the Christmas/New Year party season. It was another reason for the couples to be smug and the singles to be slutty. Also an annoying tradition of a new years kiss loomed as half of her co-workers eyed her from across the room.

Lois sighed as she imagined what it would be like if she kissed the man she wanted to kiss.

10...

9...

He took her in his arms.

7...

6...

Lois could smell his aftershave as he leaned into her.

3...

2...

1...

But Lois wasn’t a kind of girl that believed in fantasies.

Title: This year’s resolution is love (Part II)
Author: Rae
Rating: G
Challenge: New Years
Team: Human
Characters/Pairings: Lois with implied Clark/Lois
Warnings/Spoilers: Set in Season 8 post-Bride drama in AU-ville. Oh and ANGST.
Disclaimer: This is a piece of fiction, it was not written for profit and has not and will not claim rights to the characters involved.
Summary: Continuing from Counting down (Part I) Lois makes her new years resolutions.
Author Notes: I’m not a fan of the writing here. I don’t think it suits and it’s a change of tense for me.
Word Count: 100

The new year is about resolutions, for better, for worse.

Things we’re going to give up, do better and the promises we make with ourselves. Though resolutions can be broken, how do we deal when our resolutions weren’t valid in the first place?

Lois wishes that someone had an answer to that. Some magical solution that would take her pain away.

Thing is, love isn’t a resolution that can be swept under a rug. It’s a promise to give your heart to another.

For the new year Lois resolves to let herself love and hope to be loved in return.

Title: As the tides turn.
Author: Rae
Rating: G
Challenge: New Years
Team: Human
Characters/Pairings: Jimmy with Chloe/Jimmy.
Warnings/Spoilers: Set in Season 8 post-Bride drama in AU-ville. Fluff in excess.
Disclaimer: This is a piece of fiction, it was not written for profit and has not and will not claim rights to the characters involved.
Summary: This new year is harder than most for Jimmy.
Word Count: 100

Sometimes it worked out okay, sometimes the guy got the girl and they welcomed the new year in each others arms.

But for Jimmy it hadn’t worked out that way. His new wife was kidnapped by a creature of unknown origin and he had yet to awaken from his comatose state. Instead his wife’s cousin, the closest thing to family, pressed a kiss to his brow and promised him that it would all be okay, that the year would be better than the last. He just need to wake up and believe.

Jimmy Olsen is nothing if not a believer.

Can we have a Chloe/Jimmy pairing tag please?

Awww, these were all wonderful!

I love how Ollie was not alone in the first. That made me all warm and happy inside.

I felt so sad for Lois in the first part and relieved in the second. Yes, Lois, let yourself love! Clark's waiting! ;D

The last was sweet. Poor Chimmy ... they can't get a break. I like supportive!Lois.

Great work!
